Job Purpose:

To utilize appropriate clinical therapeutic modalities for Mission Academy Students

     through individual, family, group therapy, class instruction and training

To maintain progress notes manage other administrative responsibilities

To provide spiritually sensitive leadership for SDRM students

To represent our Mission, Vision and Values and continue to grow as a follower of Christ

The Associate Therapist serves outside of any singular Program and acts as a resource for the Mission.

This position provides clinically sound therapy, leadership, training, and partners with Mission Academy Students toward achieving

greater emotional and spiritual wholeness as part of successful Program completion. This position reports directly to the Director of Therapeutic Services.

This is a full time exempt position eligible for benefits (employer pays 85% of medical premium with HSA contribution) in addition employer paid life/ADD and disability plan, vacation, holidays and sick pay.  Also available is affordable dental, vision, voluntary benefits for life/ADD, disability, and a 403B savings plan available.

Skills / Requirements

Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology or related field from an accredited institution and registered as an intern/associate with the BBS.

Experience: Minimum 2 years full-time work experience with individuals experiencing homelessness, facing various addiction challenges, mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders preferred.  Trauma Informed Care and Dialectical behavior therapy preferred  Nonprofit experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook); typing (min 35 wpm); coordinate and/or direct a variety of complex tasks and assignments simultaneously and successfully; exercise good judgment and make sensible decisions; attentive to detail; prioritize effectively; effective oral and written communication skills; eagerness to learn and be trained; work both independently and as part of a team; provide information to public by answering questions and requests; regular, timely attendance.

Special License/Certification: Registered as an ASW or an intern with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
