To serve as a member of the Development Team

To oversee daily gift processing procedures

To ensure the security and quality of data and donor information

To assist in development administrative needs

To assist the Database Manager

The Development Assistant is a key member of the Development team and will ensure day to day donation processing procedures are executed on time and in excellence. They will play a key role in managing donations and in the donor experience. This position will also support both the Database Manager and the Development Coordinator in Data and Administrative Needs, as it supports the Development plan.

Education: Minimum high school diploma, some college preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years full-time work experience in a professional environment preferably with in a Non-profit.

Skills and Abilities: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook); typing (min 35 wpm); experience with a donor database desirable, coordinate and/or direct a variety of complex tasks and assignments simultaneously and successfully; exercise good judgment and make sensible decisions; attentive to detail; prioritize effectively; effective oral and written communication skills; eagerness to learn and be trained; work both independently and as part of a team; provide information to public by answering questions and requests; regular, timely attendance.

Good customer phone etiquette; able to respond in a caring, empathetic and grateful manner; able to meet and greet donors.
