Job Description

 General Purpose

Under the supervision of the VP of Programs, this exempt professional directs and oversees the Therapy Clinic.  Provides clinical and programmatic supervision, to all of the clinical staff and interns. Upholds ethical treatment standards, and ensures compliance with all applicable state laws and industry standards. Works with VP of Programs to establish policies and programs and administers such programs.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Duties will include but not limited to: providing individual and group supervision for practicum trainees, and interns utilizing sound clinical judgment to assign clients to therapists, providing guidance for the triage program, developing curriculum for therapy groups, overseeing the budget for the therapy program, providing on-call support for legal and ethical issues, serving as the liaison between the therapy clinic and all residential programs, and creating and fostering relationships with various universities and consultants.

Skills / Requirements

Education / Experience

Education: Minimum Master’s degree in Family Therapy or Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution. 

 Special License/Certification: Licensed LMFT, LCSW, or licensed Psychologist for minimum 2 years. Must be AAMFT and CAMFT (or equivalent) member in good standing, be certified to provide clinical supervision.

 Experience:  Minimum 2 years full-time experience as a therapist dealing with men, women, and children experiencing homelessness, mental illness, addiction, and dually diagnosed. Supervisory experience at management level, strategic planning and nonprofit experience desirable.
